Romans 12:1 – I appeal to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship (AMPC).
Think about how good God has been, is right now, and will always be. Because of His goodness, we should give our lives to Him without hesitation. Where would we be without His saving grace, loving mercy, and constant goodness? Nowhere I want to be for sure!
We don’t have to do big, elaborate things to please God. He’s simply looking for obedience—doing the mundane on a daily basis with an attitude of worship. Ordinary actions placed on the altar become extraordinary.
Each day, our lives are on full display for those around and connected to us. We can choose to live our own way in our own strength and be limited, or we can choose to lay our lives down and rely on God’s strength and ability. The choice is ours.
When you offer yourself as a living sacrifice, God’s unlimited grace enables you to accomplish extraordinary things for His kingdom. If you’re willing to lose your life for His sake, you’ll find it in Christ.
Mathew 10:39 – “He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it” (NKJV).
