Zephaniah 3:14 — Sing, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O Israel! Be glad and rejoice with all your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem! (NKJV)
I believe a portion of your joy is lost every time you give a piece of your heart to something or someone ungodly. When you get mixed up with plans and people that are outside of God’s will, your joy supply will dwindle rapidly.
Many believers are depressed because they are doing things God never intended for them to do and are in relationships with people He wants kept at an arms distance. (Others are doing wrong things in right relationships.) If you can relate, I encourage you to evaluate your priorities today.
God wants all of your heart. The less of it you give to Him, the lesser joy you’ll have. But the more you give to Him, the greater your joy will be! This is true in every area of your life.
I challenge you to praise God without holding back any part of yourself. Rejoice with your whole heart, and I believe for joy to overtake your life. Hallelujah!
Psalm 16:9 — Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure (NIV).
