Romans 8:25 – But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently (NIV).
Just because you might not have what God has promised yet does not mean you will not receive it. God is faithful to do what He has promised. You must fix your eyes on Jesus and wait with expectant hope.
This doesn’t mean you sit around like you have nothing to do. You must continue to be faithful and obedient. God is looking for people who remain steadfast and expectant while waiting on His promises to be fulfilled.
My family loves to travel nationally and internationally. We’ve covered thousands of miles on many road trips and flights. If I had waited to look around or enjoy experiences after I arrived at my final destination, I would have missed out on many beautiful places and good times with my boys and husband. Life is all about making the most of the journey. Enjoy where you are on the way to where you’re going.
If you haven’t reached your destination, wait. Seize every opportunity to bring glory to God along the way. He always finishes what He starts. Keep living in the present, while pressing on toward the future. Only look back to remind yourself of how good God has been. The best is yet to come!
Philippians 1:6 – He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ (NKJV).
