Uganda (Day 1)

Good morning from Dallas, Texas! I hope this blog finds you well. Over the next 2 weeks, you can check here daily (hopefully) for updates on our missions trip to Uganda. Heidi and I are about to head over to Terminal E and check in for our first flight, which is to Salt Lake City, UT. From there we will go to Amsterdam and then on to Entebbe. It’s going to be a long and glorious day!

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who donated and helped make this trip possible. We have 56 dresses with us for the girls at the school where we will be serving next week. They were handmade and given to us by the women’s ministry at New Life Church in Crossett, AR. Thank you. We love you guys.

We also have 2+ giant suitcases of school supplies that were generously given to us by several of our coworkers at Forest Hill Junior High and Kris (Heidi’s brother). Your contributions will help to further and better the education of over 90 kids in Nateete, Uganda. We can’t thank you enough. We are blessed to work with such a great group of people.

There are also hundreds of others who have sown their finances and prayers into this missions trip, and there is no way I could thank you all individually. Just know that your generosity will be maximized and multiplied to a people in desperate need.

Lastly, I want to thank my mother-in-law for taking care of Noah and Jack. We know our boys are in good hands, and we will miss you all terribly. Boys, we will tell the fine folks at Adonai House that you said, “Hello.”

Matthew 25:40“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of Mine, you did for Me” (NIV).
