Joshua 6:20 — The people shouted with a great shout and the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight ahead, and they took the city (NASB).
Joshua 6 indicates that Jericho was securely shut up, and no one was allowed in or out. Even so, God promised Israel that He had given them the city. Looks can be deceiving.
Have you ever felt like there were giant walls surrounding God’s promises concerning your life, and you were on the outside looking in? Perhaps you can relate even now. Just because His blessing isn’t apparent doesn’t mean the promise He made you was empty.
God said His word will not return to Him void. It will accomplish His purpose and prosper in your life. Don’t focus on the walls that seemingly surround your breakthrough. Jericho’s walls fell flat when Israel let out a great shout. Then they went straight in and took the city. They didn’t have to climb over any rubble or debris; God gave them an easy victory.
I believe He will do the same for you. I challenge and encourage you to let out a mighty shout today. Your praise is power-packed; it demolishes strongholds and demoralizes the enemy.
Isaiah 55:11 — “It is the same with My word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it” (NLT).
