Concrete Slabs

Matthew 11:28“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to Me. Get away with Me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest” (MSG).

I’ve learned that one of the keys to great rest is a comfortable bed. Not long ago, Heidi and I were constantly waking up with a sore neck and back, but then we gave our bed away and got a new one. (We’ve never slept better!) Where you lie down largely impacts you’re ability to relax. If you’ve ever slept on a “concrete slab,” you likely woke up more tired than you were when you went to bed. It can be very frustrating.

Perhaps you are weary or burdened by certain situations or relationships today. Peace goes when burnout comes. Real rest only occurs by going to Jesus and getting away with Him. Turning to anyone or anything else only creates more unrest. He alone can give you a full recovery.

Allow the Lord to lead you. He causes you to lie down in green pastures, not on concrete slabs. He guides you to the still waters and restores your soul. May you find peace in His presence as you entrust yourself to Him.

Exodus 33:14And He said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest” (NKJV).
