Faith and Peace

John 16:33“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (NKJV).

Jesus guaranteed hardship but with the promise of peace. You can have peace in any and every circumstance if you put your faith in the One who overcame the world.

Here’s an important question you need to answer honestly: Is your peace based on what you’re currently going through or on what Jesus already went through on your behalf? Your response has everything to do with whether you’re at peace or not because peace is the result of believing in what Jesus has already given you.

The peace He gave you is not influenced by your emotions, but your faith can be. Adversity will ruin your peace if you allow your feelings to rule over your faith. Faith doesn’t follow your feelings, but if you put your faith in Jesus, your feelings will eventually follow.

Fear and anxiety are anti-faith and create unrest. I challenge you to give peace precedence over paranoia. Let your faith rule over your feelings, and find rest in the shadow of the Almighty today and every day.

Psalm 91:1He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty (NKJV).

  1. This is something we need to hear, think on and act on daily. Thank you for sharing it.
I know that fear and faith work against each other, they cancell each other out and it’s good to be reminded of that..
James 1:8 says a double minded man is unstable in all his ways. 💟
