I Can’t Seem to Remember

Isaiah 43:25“I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions, for My own sake, and remembers your sins no more” (NIV).

God forgave all your wickedness and remembers your sins no more (Hebrews 8:12). The devil will never cease to prosecute you, but God does not allow Himself to be reminded of your mistakes. In Christ, He always views you through the blood of Jesus, and His blood testifies of your innocence.

Many religious circles act like God keeps a running total of the amount of times they mess up. You might even be keeping tabs—every sin is another tally mark. This couldn’t be further from the truth. God is love, and love keeps no record of wrongs (1 Corinthians 13:5).

Satan and others may have an exhaustive list of your indiscretions. They serve as witnesses for the prosecution, but because of Jesus’s blood, those things you did went missing from your case. His blood has thrown out the hard evidence against you. Now when you stand before God, He sees no sin. He sees the blood; He sees you in Christ.
