The All-Inclusive Deal

2 Corinthians 6:4-10People are watching us as we stay at our post, alertly, unswervingly…in hard times, tough times, bad times, when we’re beaten up, jailed, and mobbed; working hard, working late, working without eating, with a pure heart, clear head, steady hand…having nothing, having it all (MSG).

Our lives are validated by the way we live them in every season and in any capacity. If we are not fulfilled in our lives on this earth, it’s because we are living them too small. In other words, we are only living for ourselves or a select few.

Our purpose is to live BIG, not small. It’s much bigger than just having a “nice life.” Don’t box yourself in. Live the full, abundant life that Jesus paid the price for you to have (John 10:10).

I remember a story that Pastor Mark Hankins used to tell about a man who bought a cruise. He wouldn’t go eat in the dining room until the last night of his vacation. He stayed in his room, barely getting by on cheese and crackers because he only had enough money to eat once. At the end of the cruise, when he went to pay for his one luxurious meal, he realized that everything had already been paid for. He could have been living large all that time, but instead he ate cheese and crackers.

Many believers do the same. Jesus paid for the luxury package—the all-inclusive deal—when He died on the cross. You can boldly come to the banquet table and eat as much of His goodness as you want every day. Don’t live small. Live large and full today. The bill has been paid!
